What do I pack for my dogs holiday?

1: PET HEALTH CARD

At Little Fluff Inn we like to hold a copy of your pet health card with your dogs up to date vaccinations on file while your dog(s) are under our care. We accept a scan, a photocopy, an email from your Veterinary surgery and a photograph. When taking a photograph please ensure your details and dog details can be seen along with the most current vaccination in view.

2: A PET BLANKET

We recommend that you start using a pet blanket two weeks prior to your dogs holiday at home. This blanket with gather smells of your dog(s) and your home environment. This will help to settle your dogs in with us and will make your dog(s) feel more at home and happier. Please note that Little Fluff Inn will machine wash your blanket you provide ready for your collection.

Little Fluff Inn also supply a clean fresh comfortable bed.

3: FOOD

We ask all owners to supply the necessary amount of dog food for the duration of your dog’s stay. If additional food is required, we will provide more of the same brand, or a suitable alternative. We will then hold any receipts for proof or reimbursement.

4: MEDICATIONS SUPPLEMENTS

Many dogs take certain medication and/or supplements daily. Little Fluff Inn are very happy to administer as needed (by written consent from owner). Please include all veterinary prescribed original containers with labels and appropriate number of doses that your dog will need to take in your absence, as well as written instructions with details such as dosage amount and schedule.

5: ONE FAVOURITE TOY

Little Fluff Inn have a variety of many toys for your dog(s) to play with. However, almost every dog has their very own favourite toy! We recommend to pack one favourite toy. We enjoy introducing their favourite toys a little later into their staycation! As a ‘special’ surprise.

6: A REMINDER OF HOME

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. And, this is especially true for dogs and their owners. While you are away on your holidays, both you and your dog(s) will surely miss each other’s company. To keep your dog(s) feeling close to you even in your absence, we recommend that you include a soft toy with your scent on. Squirt a toy with your perfume or aftershave. Or you could have cuddles with your dog(s) 2 weeks prior to boarding in the blanket you provide. This is a wonderful way to help your dog feel comfortable, calm, and stress free.

7: AT LEAST ONE LEAD, COLLAR OR HARNESS

8: WEATHER WEAR

Don't forget to pack for all weathers.

A rain jacket, jumper, cooling harness, calming jackets.

NOTES:

As your dog’s owner, you know more about your dog(s) than anyone else. Does your dog have a special food or water bowl that they love to eat and drink out of? Do they have a KONG or certain treats that make them tail wag? Think of items that will help your dog feel happy and comfortable and pop them into your dog’s overnight bag.
If you have not submitted all the paperwork necessary beforehand, be sure that all required documents and forms are ready to present on your day of arrival.

Little Fluff Inn want to make your dog(s) feel as happy and calm as possible throughout the duration of their stay. By thoroughly packing your dog’s bag, you better equip us to do so.

*Please note we supply bowls and beds.
